Quinquennial decorating programme,
Regents Park

Location

Albany Street, Chester Gate, Cambridge Terrace Mews

Contract value

£250,000

Project duration

16 weeks

We were contracted by the Crown Estate Paving Commission to carry out external building restoration on a number of properties, in line with their quinquennial painting programme.

Works completed

  • Painting and decorating
  • Stucco repairs
  • Brickwork cleaning and repairs
  • Rendering
  • Pointing
  • Sash window repairs
  • Timber and joinery repairs
  • Metalwork

Process

The Crown Estate Paving Commission’s quinquennial painting programme has a clear and detailed specification which outlines all the products that needed to be used during the renovations, even outlining the specific paint colours that were required. We priced the project based on this specification, submitted a competitive quotation, and were selected by the client to carry out the necessary work.

Requirements

These Regents Park properties are kept in good condition by the Crown Estate but were due for their quinquennial decorating programme to ensure that this remained the case into the future. The residences were occupied during the works, requiring careful coordination between our team, the Crown Estate, and residents to ensure that everyone was kept informed throughout the project. A further challenge was posed by the Covid-19 pandemic which delayed the original painting programme by a year. This meant that the work needed to be rescheduled and required further consultation to account for updated pricing.
