We priced this job using the specification provided by the client. This outlined all the necessary work and provided clear guidelines on the materials that needed to be used. By drawing on this wealth of information, as well as our own extensive experience, we were able to submit an accurate and competitive quotation and were subsequently asked by the client to complete the required work.
Requirements
As this project was carried out in a conservation area, it was essential that we followed the necessary rules so that the new roofs matched their surroundings. We provided the client with a number of slate samples so that they could select the right finish and find an option that suited their budget. Conservation skylights also had to be sourced and installed so that they didn’t detract from the character of the property. Finally, improvements in modern construction techniques meant that the existing dormer windows could be fitted with improved leadwork that allowed more effective ventilation, as outlined by the latest industry guidelines.
